Pre-filters
(Protecting your Watermaker)
Pre-filtration protects the RO membrane by reducing particles before high pressure filtration. Replacement intervals depend on water quality, operating hours and how often you run the system.

Best practice:
Replace more frequently if water is visibly dirty.
A sudden drop in flow can indicate clogged pre-filters.
Activated
carbon filter
Activated carbon supports the flushing process and can improve taste characteristics by reducing certain substances in the water line (depending on installation). It’s a simple component with a strong impact on onboard drinking water experience.
Pickling agent
(storage / winterizing)
For longer storage periods, pickling helps protect the system when it is not used for several weeks or months. It is especially relevant for seasonal downtime or when the boat remains inactive.
